Beautiful...you described teaching as it really feels, which is relentless. No matter your own daily struggles, you'll always have students who feel like their needs are IMMEDIATE and MORE IMPORTANT than anything you have going on! I remember when I was student teaching and I heard teachers complaining about not being able to go to the bathroom and I though it was so pathetic...and now most days I spend about 4 hours having to pee because every time I go to the bathroom, a student *has* to talk to me about something and then class starts again.
